It is in one of the best areas of Southsea, yet less than a 10 minute walk to the University, Southsea Common and the beach. Palmerston Road is a pedestrian precinct with many shops, a library, supermarkets, and numerous restaurants, bars and cafés.
Although termed a flat, it overlooks the precinct and does not have anything above it: in effect, it is a terraced house with neighbours either side, but none above or below. It has an outside seating area both in front and to the rear and these are private and surprisingly spacious. The property is over 2 floors with the kitchen and a huge lounge/dining room downstairs and 3 bedrooms and a brand new bathroom upstairs (august 2023). The block is entered from Palmerston Road pedestrian precinct via a shared private entrance – a spectacular prized Art Deco entrance lobby with a large staircase which is regularly cleaned and maintained. The flat is fully double glazed with full gas central heating which has a smart meter and is currently paid for by quarterly account.The electricity is via a smart meter and currently paid for online using a smart phone or PC.
The flat is very comfortable, clean and tidy and previous tenants have been very happy there, enjoying the location, privacy and yet closeness to the university and all that's happening in Southsea. To the front of the flat there is an outdoor patio area with washing line, and to the rear of the flat, opening out from the lounge is another patio terrace overlooking Palmerston Road, and a real sun trap.
At the rear entrance to the block the flat has its own secure bicycle store.
The rent stated does not include Electricty/Gas, WiFi/Broadband and water/sewage costs, which the current tenants pay themselves. We can provide an inclusive rent on request.
The total rent is paid either monthly by standing order or termly at the start of each term. Tenants will be asked to supply a rent guarantor before signing the tenancy agreement.
